UAE's G42 Partners with Banco Santander to Build AI-Powered Banking

WAM (UAE News Agency) · Story 4 of 6

G42, the Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence and technology conglomerate, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Banco Santander to explore strategic cooperation in artificial intelligence for banking and financial services. The agreement, announced on June 3, 2026, establishes a framework for joint development across banking intelligence, agentic financial services, and large-scale AI infrastructure.

Two G42 subsidiaries are expected to play central roles: Inception, G42's agentic AI company, and Presight, a leader in applied AI analytics. The partnership will combine Santander's global banking scale, customer relationships, and regulatory expertise with G42's AI capabilities, cloud infrastructure, and computational resources.

According to Presight CEO Thomas Pramotedham, the partnership aims to democratize the kind of personalized banking experience that has traditionally been limited to private banking customers. The collaboration will focus on AI-enabled advisory tools, intelligent savings solutions, and agentic customer service systems.

For the MENA region, this deal reinforces the UAE's positioning as a global AI hub. G42 has been expanding its international partnerships aggressively, and a co-development deal with one of the world's largest banks signals that Gulf-based AI companies are moving beyond regional play into global infrastructure roles.
