I started as a freelance WordPress developer. Someone would send me a PSD, I'd turn it into a website, get paid, and move on. It was fine — but it wasn't building anything that lasted.
The shift happened when I started asking why. Why does this store need a redesign? Why are customers abandoning their carts? Why is this team spending 3 hours a day on something that should take 20 minutes?
That curiosity turned into a career. I went from taking specs to writing them. From building what clients asked for to understanding what they actually needed. From writing code to building products.
Now I work at the intersection of technology and operations.
I help businesses figure out what's broken in their processes and build systems to fix it. Sometimes that's a web platform. Sometimes it's an AI tool. Sometimes it's just a better spreadsheet and a clear set of instructions.
I'm based in Cairo, Egypt and work with clients across the Middle East. I write about what I learn here.
